Research tells us that we take in visual cues and make meaning of our world, specifically, we categorize what we see so that our brains are not overwhelmed with details. Pews are static, but desks and tables can be moved into new positions for new projects or every day! Which is better? Both have a role in the day of a student because reliability and novelty are both good for learning.
